Commercial Licence
The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) is the final part of the CASA licencing trilogy following the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) and Private Pilot Licence (PPL).
Building on your PPL knowledge base, our commercial courses provide a focus on achieving commercial navigation and aircraft handling standards as our instructors guide you through your training, readying you for a career in aviation through the use of real-world scenarios from their own professional experiences in aviation, with easy access to the Chief Flying Instructor to answer your questions.
At Secure Air Flight Training we offer a choice of course types utilising our Part 141 and 142 CASA approved training certificates. A full-time course (Part 142) is available for those wanting to immerse themselves in the world of aviation, whilst a part time course (part 141) is also available, allowing you time for work, school, personal commitments and relaxation all whilst progressing towards your aviation dream. All designed to meet industry standards with flexible delivery options that assists with your time and budget constraints.
Our programs cleverly utilises training aircraft (a mixture of Cessna 172 and Cessna 182) to offer you the best value in obtaining your commercial licence.
At Secure Air Flight Training, all our training courses are delivered in a one-on-one formate, taking an individual approach to learning.
With successful completion what does this licence allow you to do?
Once issued with a Commercial Pilot Licence you are eligible to be employed as a professional pilot as a :
Charter Pilot or conduct flights for the tourism sector
Aerial Survey
Fire spotting
Be Eligible to:
Gain an instructor rating
Gain an aerial applicator rating
With further experience:
Gain an instrument rating for commercial operations
Study for the Airline Transport Pilot licence once your logbook hours have met the requirements for Airline entry.
The Commercial PL is the gateway to your future advancements to qualify for Flying Doctors , Air Ambulance, corporate pilot roles, airline pilot roles, search and rescue, freightliners, border protection, Police Air Wing. There is an extensive list of pathways to a life in aviation as a pilot.
